What is it with me and retinaliuos strangulation? It sounded familiar to me and sure enough I had mentioned such a crime before! No there is no plot connection to this strip! ;)
This is another one of those comics that really gets its rhythm disturbed by having to wait until Sunday! Oh well.
The Kevlar/Dyneema Controversy: As some of you may have remembered, I did some real quick legwork and found "knife resistant" vests for sale made of Kevlar. I mentioned the Kevlar choice in the comic for the 27th and got a lot of email saying Kevlar wouldn't work but some thoughts on Dyneema. So I corrected it, only to get more email saying 'no, certain Kevlar vests ARE knife resistant', 'No, you need ceramic plating' , 'Check out Turtle-wear' etc. etc.
So, to make things simple I've changed Nash's dialogue to "Hence my choice for a Knife-Proof vest!" There! Whew!
