Ref: One, two, three.
There's a lot of names mentioned in this strip. Instead of linking to them all, or asking you to go back and study Chapter 65: Mohkadun (there won't be a quiz!) I'll say this. You DO NOT need to know all the characters and events referenced to follow the story and I'll try to provide more pertinent links on a case-by-case basis as the story unfolds. But Chapter 65 is at your fingertips should you like!
I double checked the archive just to be sure, and despite every time
their paths might have crossed, Bun-bun and Frog have never met.
Please let me know in the Reactions Forums if I messed that up because
Iââ¬â¢d RetCon that.
Ref: The Original Tale of Mr. Stiks (which is
reprinted in today's strip). This is also one of the links from two
comics ago. Reprinting the tale was the easiest way for me to remind
or inform you all of who/what Mr. Stiks is.
Ref: Wilcott Wilden (first seen) (last seen) | Meander/Chilus (first seen) (last seen).
Whelp, this wraps 'Lost and Found' and we found a LOT. So many odd characters from storties from years ago. This is a big story that ties much together. I will do my best to include all information needed for this story in the story, but will keep putting ref-links in case you all want a trip down memory lane. Onward and sideways!
Ref: "More Power! And Gwynn realized..." | King
Farahn and Bug refs next comic!
Quint suggests this sacrifice will give the Book of E-Vile "wants".
Does it make sense for people to be celebrating the Lemuralia Festival in a town just
north-west-ish of Mt Vesuvius in 455-ish BC? I say so, but I'm not
actually a historian. ;)
Hey all! I wanted you guys to know Ozzid has shown up in previous
comics from many years back. In the panels I drew him, he looked
different in every single panel and I missed that he had a tail
until recently. Some of you have figured out where Ozzid shows up,
others perhaps have not but it will be explained. So Ozzid needed a
tail, and now Ozzid has one.
Ref: "Revenge of the Brokenhearted".
Sidenote: I should remove the hyphen from "broken-hearted" in the referenced comic!
Ref: Prozoato & Kozoaku | Kozoaku, entangled in the Fate-web changed to a
demon and imprisoned in a pocket dimension by the power of
Prozoato (panels 4 & 5) | (Not the first Spark Krohnus tried tying Kozoaku to
the Fate Web to no avail) | The pocket dimension was The Never (panel 4) |
The Never (first seen) | Rithuly of the Never (also secondary unimportant Rithuly ref). This shows
up from time to time but here we see the Mohkadun 'God-Team' Pantheon
symbols above a doorway.
I think that's enough references for this comic! I'm working on a Defenders Blog too, FYI.
Ref: Repeating Kozoaku's Name (Panel 5) | Farahn Repeats | Farahn Sacrifices | Kozoaku Summoned | Symachus, Farahn & Kozoaku | "A Short Time Later..."
Also, in that last link, if you don't know or remember why there's a second bug on the last ref-panel that is not in this comic's second-to-last panel, don't worry about it too much.
Ref link(s) next comic.
OK, so Maloufo's nipples are weird, his specific
story is not needed for Immortal King, and the
fourth panel 'break of the fourth wall' is my attempt of self
deprecating humor over my inability to NOT make you guys feel like
you have to read a decade of comics to understand what's going on!
;) Speaking of things you don't need to know:
Ref: The Summoner and Maloufo.
Another neat thing you don't need to know for this story is that summoner is Riff's great-great-great-thousands-of-years-over grandma. It's TRUE!
Continuing from last comic...
Refs you do not need to know: Queen Siphaniana and Maloufo.
Sorry for the "what is that flying thing next to Torg ?" Cliff
hanger! But we will get to it! This is one BIG story!
The scribe's name is Edda. More on this in an Info-Shield Friday.
